Welcome to the Sproughton Bowls Club website
We are a
very friendly club situated in the village of Sproughton on the
outskirts of
Ipswich in Suffolk.
Our club benefits from a large green with up to 8 rinks and a fantastic clubhouse including changing rooms, well stocked bar and catering facilities. We also have lots of free car parking.
Sproughton Bowls Club is affiliated to both Bowls England and the
English Bowling Federation and we have league teams playing under both
of these codes. We run regular Open Tournaments throughout the summer
season at weekends and on Tuesday afternoons – see our Events page for more details and
an application form.
Sproughton Bowls Club also welcome enquiries from touring teams.
We currently have around 70 members and we are always looking to welcome new members whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
Don’t think that bowls is just a game for the older generation. Bowls has something to offer to everyone and is a great opportunity to meet new people of all ages. It can be a highly skilful and competitive sport. Just joining a club can open the doors to county, national and even international competition! Having said that, you may prefer just to take part in the local leagues or even just join as a social, non-bowling member.
